How to Participate
SOLSA is supported by a team of volunteers who commit to at least a year of involvement. Some volunteers teach life skills, yoga, Biodanza, reading or similar practices every Saturday morning. Others network with friends, organisations and companies to help arrange donations of food, money, goods, training and other resources.

Donate
You can make either a once-off or monthly donation to SOLSA, or donate towards a specific project.
We generally use donated funds in two ways:
- Monthly running costs – including stipends, petrol and rent. These are often the costs that donors are less inclined to cover, but they are essential for keeping the projects running.
- Specific projects – supporting the development and sustainability of our projects, including infrastructure, training and other longer-term needs. One of our longer-term goals is to purchase the house next door or eventually move into larger premises.

You can donate directly into our bank account. This is particularly useful for larger donations and for donors outside South Africa who can make an international/SWIFT bank transfer.

How your donation is used
SOLSA is a community-based organisation and we aim to use donations directly for the work and projects we are involved with.
No profits or donations are distributed to SOLSA members. Where necessary, funds may be used for legitimate project-related costs such as stipends, transport, rent, training and other expenses required to make the work possible.
