Now - Home of Hope - a safe home for teenage girls. The girls have come from difficult backgrounds and are often rescued from the pimps and drug lords of Johannesburg. For 10 years up to 50 girls have slept in a 1 bedroom apartment in Hillbrow and the home survives from month to month on hard work, Grace, Trust, Kindness and Miracles.

We have found a new home to purchase -

Four large apartments each with 3 bedrooms means ample living space.
Once we own our own premises the State will be a lot more helpful and we can finally stop begging and be sustainable.
We are 2 NPO organisations based in Johannesburg –
Home of Hope Berea Hillbrow – NPO 019857. www.hopehome.org.za.
SOLSA – Seeds of Light South Africa, NPO 032813 www.solsa.org. All volunteers.
Both NPO’s can give you a 18A Tax exempt certificate on donations received.

SOLSA has 5 active members and all work is done on a volunteer basis, donating time and often personal resources whenever the individual members can make the time. The primary focus of SOLSA has become education of orphans, vulnerable children and caregivers, this includes paying fees, mentoring and supporting the students in whatever way is appropriate, assessing needs of individuals trained, finding education programs, administration and raising funds to pay for tuition, transport and some pocket money for students where needed.
We are expanding our vision to research real sustainable solutions for the homes we work with. As we learn from the financial challenges a Non Profit goes through we look for ways to introduce entrepreneurship to lessen the dependency on government and organisations like ourselves.
